Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus Albacares) is a migratory species. Its habitat is the Tropical and Ecuatorial seas and because of the abundance of the species is the fish most often used in preserves. Yellowfin tuna is similar to the White Tuna (Albacore) but more yellowish; its meat is not so delicate and it’s less appreciated.
Once we have selected the best fishes, we cooked them and, following a meticulous and handmade process, the Yellowfin Tuna is prepared and packaged. The skill and experience acquired over five generations is the key of the exceptional taste and appearance of our preserves.
The OL-120 can, is elaborated using Yellowfin Tuna Belly (Ventresca) loins, which are covered with specially selected olive oil. This olive oil, with its intense flavour, adds a unique and exclusive aroma and taste to the Yellowfin Tuna.
Because of its size, this jar is recommended for individual consumption or as an accompaniment.
